Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fever And Headache

My daughter has been having fever for 3 days constantly with severe sore throat, nausea, headache. I made an appointment with her doctor today and the only thing she gave her was oseltamivir for 5 days. My daughter still has very high fever 104.4 and very strong headache. I am wiping her with cold water and gave her NyQuil it has been an hour and the fever is down to 102. What should I do?

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your daughter.

As per your history your daughter seems have an acute viral upper respiratory tract infection.

You need to give her antipyratic medication like paracetamol 500mg after every eight hourly plus the anti viral medication as per prescription provided by your consultant.

Keep her hydrated with plenty of fluids and if the fever is constant at 103 or more take her to emergency room. As paracetamol is a good analgesic it will take care of headache too.
