Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fever And Body Pain

Im worried about my husband. He is 45 with a history of strokes diabetes and cellulitus. He had flu and its presenting without sneezing or running nose but with confusion fever whole body pain and difficulty walking. Hes also having difficulty staying awake and has been asleep for about 20 hours not counting about 20 minutes of me forcing him awake to give him a sugary drink. While awake he was complaining of the strong smell of blood and his blood sugar is 10.6

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Because your husband is confused and very sleepy you need to send him to see a doctor. Important conditions that affect the brain or possible complications to flu infection should be ruled out. He might need some blood tests as well to make sure all is well.

His sugar level is high as well but I don't think is the reason for his symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
