Suggest Treatment For Persistent Ear Pain

I ve had a head cold for over a week now. No fever. Flew on an international flight from China to Seattle (2 flights) - descending was incredibly painful in my ears. That was last Sunday, so almost a week ago. All week I ve had terrible thick head, congestion. Been taking DayQuil & NightQuil, started using a Nettie Pot 2 days ago. Head still very thick, ears plugged, ringing, fullness, very uncomfortable. No fever. No pain. Does that mean no antibiotic is needed? I should just continue to rest and ride it out?
