Hello, So for about that passed 2 1/2 weeks i have had diarrhea on and off. For the passed week i have been getting nigh sweats while sleeping. Also, i have a missed period or just a really late period that hasnt shown up yet. I took a dollar tree pregnancy test yesterday and it came up negative. Do you think i may be pregnant and should get a more reliable test? or am i sick? please help!
Noted the history and understood the concerns. If the pregnancy test is negative repeat it after a few days to know. Diarrhea for 2 and half weeks along with night sweats is mostly indicative of an intestinal infection. Hence I Would advise you the following in such a situation: Get the stool and blood tested. Clinical evaluation by your Doctor to see for the possible diagnosis and correlate with the investigations. If there is no pregnancy and there is an evidence of an intestinal infection then an appropriate antibiotic active against intestinal infection , metronidazole and probiotics should help you. Take plenty of oral fluids to keep hydrated well. Boiled and cooled water. Use homemade foods only. Follow the advise if your Doctor and if pregnancy tests turns out to be positive then be under the care of a Gynecologist to get a proper evaluation and get treated with safe medications that can be given in pregnancy.
