Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough And Redness In Eyes

my 11 year old daughter has a persistent cough that she has been dealing with for a week or so. we gave her some tylenol cough/cold medicine last night which helped the cough but she woke up today and her eyes were red/blood shot and glassy. could this possibly be a reaction to the medicine ?

Hi.
Thanks for your query for your daughter.

The appearance of the eyes as red, blood shot and glassy can be due to reaction to the medicines or anytime.
I would advise in such a situation where the patient is having persistent cough has taken Tylenol and now has problems with the eyes as you have explained.
Take her to the Ophthalmologist to decide whether this is the local problem of the eyes or due to reaction to something.
By doing this we can be certain to save the eyes first.
Rest of the treatment will be as per the findings.
As for the reaction we have an adage- anything under the sun including the sun can cause allergy.
