Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough And Diarrhea

I have had a persistent cough for about 5-6 days now that won t allow me to sleep laying down. I m very congested with a runny nose and phlem in my chest. I have also been experiencing diarrhea (but have not thrown up), for about 2 days now. Should I see my doctor for some stronger medicine than what I have now?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As a physician, I would like to tell you that you must have been suffering from LRTI or pneumonia. You should take a full course of antibiotics like Tab Cefpodoxime, Tab Sinrest LP, and Cap Omez. I would also like to tell you that you should visit your consulting physician as soon as possible if the symptoms does not subside after due course of treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
