Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cold And Cough

Sir, My daughter is now 9 years old. She has been suffering from cold and cough many times. When she suffers from fever and cough, we generally gives her Clavam 375 tabs. Is it harmful for health? Please advise me the name of cold and cough medicine, so that I will get benefited.

If patient suffers from cold and cough very frequently , workup should be done to see what is the reason for that ? if there is a problem with immunity, or upper respiratory tract structures ,like some people having septal defects suffer upper respiratory tract infection more than others.

I would hereby mention cough and cold meds for you which are available over the counter.

You can use Alegra -D this will relieve pain and congestion. There are OTC cough syrups available, any one of them can be used. Antihistamines like citrizine 10mg daoly at night can help control the allergy.

I would suggest you not to panic in this case but this needs to be seen closely and followed up well to.determine the cause.
