I think I've been bitten by a spider on my arm ,the bump is very painful and it has turned colors my question is I've been bitten before and my doctor prescribed me a cream called fluocinonide is it safe to use this even if the bite hasn't started draining?
I have gone through your query and can very well understand your health concerns...
As per your complain painful bump after spider bite occurs due to allergic reaction with the poisnous substance released by the stinger of the spider below the skin.. You can apply flucinonide which is a steroid and will help on relieving inflammation.. Take Allergra 60 mg twice daily for 3 days to reduce allergy.. For pain OTC painkillers like Ibuprofen can be taken..
Hope you get well soon and thanks for writing to Healthcare Magic..
