Suggest Treatment For Painful Abscess On Tooth

I have an abses tooth that I ve had now for the second time on the same tooth, stupid I know,I was given ananti biotic and it popped on its own and felt so much better that I just let it go even though I was told to follow up with the dentist now the abscess is back and it is much worse and much more painful I saw a doctor today for a different reason but I was given an antibiotic that he said would clear up the abscess as well however I was reading on the Internet that if the abscess goes into the jaw line I should seek emergency room treatment immediately so my question is am i safe to pop the abscess on my own when it comes to a head with heat or should I go to the emergency room immediately even though I already have an antibiotic I m not even sure if a hospital would Lance it anyway because it s a dental procedure if you could please respond as soon as possible I am very concerned on the condition it looks

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the abscess in the tooth is concerned it is secondary to tooth infection. So the tooth has to be treated first. The medicines like antibiotics are temporary solution.
You can take a course of antibiotics preferably amoxicillin and metronidazole (if you are not allergic). if the swelling does not subside then you can go to emergency room. You need to consult a dentist and get the tooth treated.
I hope I have answered your query. take care
