General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Your problem is due to either severe kidney infection (associated with fever, pain and urinary complaints). A muscle pull (spasm) or thoracolumbar spondylitis (slip disc). You need to get systematically examined and investigated to find basic cause &then cause specific treatment.
Consult a physician and then orthopedic surgeon / kidney specialist as per need. Till then take rest, avoid painful movement and weight bearing. Use ice pack to reduce inflammation. DO NOT massage or foment unless advised after examining you.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
