Suggest Treatment For Pain In Upper Neck And Left Arm

Hi, I have experiencing pain in my upper neck and left arm for about 3 months now. To the point where it wakes me during my sleep, I have had physio and tried anti-inflamitries and nothing seems to help. I go to reach down for an object and have severe shooting pain down my arm, it is becoming very frustrating to live with, I believe it is nerve pain? could it be a compressed or pinched nerve and what is the best course of action to take?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having pinched nerve pressure symptoms due to osteo-artheritis changes in your cervical spines.
Go for x-ray cervical vertebrae for osteo-artheritis changes.
Go for,
Physiotherapy of neck and shoulder.
Short way diathermy,
If require cervical traction.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Ok and take care.
