Suggest Treatment For Pain In Throat While Swallowing

Hi Doctor ... I am getting some Knocking sound in my throat when swallowing. I am getting this sound when i turn my head right side and start swallowing . Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in throat while swallowing . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like tonsillitis , sublingual gland infection , dental infection , acid reflux and muscle strain , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to tonsillitis ,which occur due to bacterial or viral infection . Kindly get yourself examined by a ENT Specialist as you will require antibiotics like amoxicillin or penicillin and analgesics. Tonsillitis is most often caused by a common cold virus, but other viral and bacterial infections can also be the cause. If the condition will again and again then doctor may consider tonsillectomy. In addition to Medications, you will require Home care remedies. Get adequate rest, Drink plenty of water to keep the throat moist and prevent dehydration. Warm liquids like tea or warm water with honey and do salt water gargles several times as day.
