Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Shoulders

thank you, I think the pain in my shoulder/back may have started when I was using a weed-wacker in June! It isn t constant, and only comes with certain motions...the most common is when I m driving and lift my left arm up around the steering wheel ( if that info helps)...it goes away instantly when I put my arm down. Is that enough information for you to share some ideas?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As this looks to me as a repetitive stress injury at the cervical spine level. Using cervical soft collar for a week to 10 days should help reduce the muscle spasm and improve the joint stability.

Taking an MRI of the cervical spine will be good to understand the soft tissue pathology.

Post the pain coming down exercise for improving the muscle strength in the cervical spine as well as shoulder stabilization exercises should help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
