Suggest Treatment For Pain In Ribs During Pregnancy

I m currently 22 weeks pregnant and have had a terrible pain in my right rib for 9 weeks, during my last baby scan I asked the sonographer to check my gallbladder which was clear but there was a big cloud of wind there. I have been prescribed gaviscon and ranitidine but it didn t seem to help, I really don t think acid is the problem apart from the fact that I may not have enough of it, I have never suffered heart burn in my life. Is there anything strong I can take that specifically treats wind rather than acid, also must be able to take in pregnancy. Would appreciate any suggestions

well with increasing gestational age in pregnancy the stomach keeps getting compressed. idea is to eat small meals and frequently say 4-6 hrly rather than a heavy meal just thrice( breakfast/lunch/dinner). this should keep you away from heaviness in upper abdomen and reduce dyspepsia.
you may try tab pantoprazole 40mg once a day after breakfast . its safe in pregnancy. this should help.
