Suggest Treatment For Pain In Joints

My partner needs to take Naproxen 250mg for his arthritis when he s in pain - every day he s on blood pressure tablets, thyroxine and astrvastine and a dypixtol injections every fortnight - he has become constipated and he cannot get an errection (which isn t a problem for him). He also has to take zopiclone 7.50mg to help him sleep. Is there anything you can suggest to help him as he has awful pain in his joints. He is 62yrs old. Thank you Sandra his partner. His arthritis is the cause of his most pain.

Your partner's main problem now is arthritis. Arthritis can be very well treated if the type of arthritis is known. At this age to most probable causes of arthritis are 1. Rheumatoid arthritis 2. osteoarthritis. Treatment differs for both types. Hence he should be investigated by x-ray, rheumatoid factor etc. Rheumatoid arthritis can be well treated by disease modifying anti-rheumatoid drugs. Severe osteoarthritis may need joint replacement surgery. As a temporary measure, tablet.tramadol 32.5 mg twice daily can be added to naproxen for good pain relief. For his constipation he can take isapgol husk powder daily at night which is safe for his age. He can take tablet sidnafil three hours before intercourse for his erection problem provided he is also not taking nitrate tablets.
