Suggest Treatment For Pain In Ears

Reputable local ENT I ve seen for periodic impacted earwax removal treated me again yesterday. Left ear went fairly well. Right ear required very painful process that included suctioning over and over and then finally stool softener drops in it for twenty five minutes. Got most of it out. Since then, I ve had diminished hearing and an earache! I am scared this is permanent. His office says it s from the rough procedure, but I am suspicious I was injured or maybe the drops remained I too long. Some residual drops were still in the ear this morning. Pain lingers.
