Hello,

It's essential to take these complaints of symptoms of pain in the groin area and leg seriously and get him evaluated by an orthopedist. Potential causes for his symptoms could be a muscle strain, a ligament injury, or something related to his prior injury. Since he's also mentioned feeling unwell, this could indicate an underlying infection or inflammation that needs attention.

In some cases, referred pain from the hip or back issues can manifest as groin and leg pain. Therefore, to me, while it's possible that the pain could be due to a minor issue like a pulled muscle, given the history of a prior leg injury and the discomfort he's experiencing, it's crucial to have him evaluated by an orthopedic specialist promptly. This will help rule out any serious issues and ensure he gets the appropriate treatment and care.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
