Hello,

Well looks like you had a bad trauma to your knee during the car crash. Knee has multiple ligaments that support its weight and help us flex and extend the knee.

Now looking at your complains there seems to be some damage to the position of pain you are noticing.

But it is hard to tell exactly where is the damage if at all by just history. Ideally, MRI of the knee will be required to see ligament damage.

Having said that generalized knee pain without much damage to the bone, cartilage or ligaments. In that case, there is usually pain killers that need to be taken for long in order to reduce the pain, swelling and cause quick recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Talal Hussain, General & Family Physician
