Suggest Treatment For Pain And Knot Sensation In Buttocks After Rocephin Injection

About a week ago i was given a rocephin injectiom subcutaneously in my butt cheek. The area still hurts even after one week and today i felt a knot under the skin of my butt cheek in that area. What could this be? **p.s. also note that i hv been given a rocephin injection intramuscularly in my other butt cheek n that butt cheek is fine. But the butt cheek that received a subcutaneous rocephin injection has developed a skin knot.

Welcome at HCM
i have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns...
In my opinion it is probably an allergic reaction which occur after a test dose .. Sometimes it happens after a test dose....its a type of hypersensitivity reaction....You need not to worry about it it will disappear in two weeks time...
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen if u feel pain.
Get well soon
