Suggest Treatment For Pain And Discharge From A Keloid On The Chest
I have a keloid on my right side chest it has been there.but never really leaked today it just started oozing I added tea tree oil yesterday to stop aching . Don t know what to do.I am.schedule for surgery in August. What do I do about clear fluid leaking for now ?
It seems like the keloid is infected. Antibiotics has to be started preferably amoxicillin. Topical antibiotics like mupirocin can also be applied after cleaning with soap and water. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. In severe cases steroid injection the lesion will help to shrink the keloid. But it can be done only after the infection settles.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
