Suggest Treatment For Pain And Burning Sensation In The Throat

Swallowed and almost choked on a peice of steak. Seems to have stretched my throat and esophagus. Feeling burning and sharp paints where I usually get really harsh heart burn. I feel it where my ribs meet as well aa in my chest area surrounding esophagus.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of swallowing a piece of steak giving you the sensation of stretching of the throat and esophagus and feeling of burning and sharp pains at the point of heart burns.
This indicated the following:
Either recrudescence of the GERD or esophagitis
Or the steak actually causing the problem.

This can be diagnosed only by a proper upper GI endoscopy.
Till you get an appointment I would advise you the following:
PPI like Pantoprazole
Antacid get 3 tsf every three hours
Domperidone
Soft bland diet.
Control of the stress and anxiety

Upper GI endoscopy at the earliest
And an urgent EKG to rule out any cardiac problems.
