General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
People with fibromyalgia are known to be too sensitive to pain and other stimuli as the illness evolves. This may explain your pain and poor response to pain medications.Treatment options include different lines of medications depending on intensity of pain, steroid shots occasionally, and some home measures.
I will advise you try the following:
-Continue with Gabapentin
-Add a steroid like prednisolone for say a week or see your Doctor for a steroid shot.Steroids are not to be used for long given their side effects. However, doses may be renewed occasinally after consulting your Doctor
-Reduce stress
-Get enough sleep
-Regular exercises
-Healthy lifestyle/healthy feeding.
Hope this will help
Regards
