Suggest Treatment For Numb Left Arm, Anxiety And Health Anxiety Disorder

I suffer with anxiety and health anxiety disorder because I have so many physical symptoms I get scared i'm going to have a stroke or heart attack etc! At the moment i have a numb left arm i feel a little breathless and i'm really hot. I'm alone with my 3 year old and i'm scared

I can understand your concern. The symptoms like numbness in arms and fear of stroke or heart attack can occur due to severe health anxiety. Try to reassure yourself because one can't develop heart attack due to numbness of arms. If these symptoms are persistent and are bothering you then consult a psychiatrist for help.

In health anxiety reassurance and counselling by a psychiatrist help to relieve anxiety. For severe symptoms medicines like SSRIs are needed. Escitalopram, Paroxetime, Sertraline, Fluoxetine etc are used commonly in health anxiety and hypochondriasis. Try to relax yourself and so relaxation exercises to keep yourself relaxed. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs.
