Suggest Treatment For Nervous Stomach When Under Stress

I was told by my dr. that I have a nerveous stomach? When I get tired under stress I have stomach issues, it comes and goes. I think certain foods cause stomach issues. I am 72 yrs old and quite healthy, except for the stomach problems. YYYY@YYYY

Digestive tract is susceptible to change in emotional states, stress, anxiety or depression. These conditions causes the release of gastric acid from the cell in the stomach. This acid causes erosion of the stomach mucosal lining and causes the symptoms. Spicy food also causes irritation of the mucosa and cause such symptoms.

Hello,our stomach is under the control of the enteric nervous system.some times your brain tells your stomach that something is wrong and then you experience nervous stomach.
The digestive system is susceptible to emotional changes, stress, anxiety and depression.Stressful situations trigger the stomach to produce more stomach acid, which causes symptoms that resemble heartburn.
Nervous stomach can cause
Stomach ulcers and acid reflux disease (GERD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Key causes of nervous stomach are:
1.Food allergies and the intolerance of specific foods
2.Eating foods that spicy, oily, high in fat, as well as fast foods
3.Eating foods rapidly and not chewing the food thoroughly
4.Eating late at night and eating heavy snacks at night
5.Sedentary lifestyle and limited exercise, smoking in excess and alcohol abuse
6.Depression, emotional stress
7. Hormonal changes
8.Medications and antibiotics side effects
9.Motion sickness, gastritis, , viral infections and stomach flu
10.Malabsorption
11.Low blood sugar
12.Vitamin deficiency
You can relive your symptoms by
1.Reducing extremely spicy foods which may cause indigestion
2.Reduce carbonated drinks and dairy products as well as high fat foods, beans, cabbage, and broccoli which may contribute to the build-up of gas
3.Reduce caffeine and alcohol
4.Moderate exercise/walking
5. Reduce stress
6.Regular balanced meals with fruits and vegetables
7.Never skip meals
8.Lactic acid in the form of curds is advisable
Consult a gastroenteritis who will advice some test and give you antacids and other medication
