Dear Doctor My child is suffering from nephritis syndrome since August 2009 and was under prenisolon, however replace occur 4th time and the last replace occur in April 1st week2011 and now she is having 20 mg for every alternate days for one week. yesterday night she had eaten meat items and after 1 hour she has vomitted that. today since morning she didn t eat anyting only milk and biscuite and only at 5 am she had some bread but that also vomitted. please advise if this is anyting to worry about.
Please check for uric acid levels and creatinine levels. Check for electrolytes and urine examination. High uric acid levels may lead to nausea, vomiting and gastroparesis. Flare up of nephritis part may be reconsidered. Use tablet Ondansetron for five days. If vomiting not come down means please consult with your nephrologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
