Suggest Treatment For Neck Pain When Diagnosed With Bell S Palsy

I have experienced neck pain (on left side) & pain that radiates in the back of my head, a month ago my diagnosis was Bells Palsey from my neurologist, but they still treated me for a Mini-Stroke .so now what is causing my left side of neck & back of head pain ?

Hi,

The location and movement of a pain gives clues as to what is going on. Bell's is a problem with the nerve that goes under the angle of the jaw. If in someone with Bells' that area or radiation out from or around that area hurts then it is connected to the Bell's.

There can be a number of ways it ca be connected. If one has the nerve physically traumatized, then the trauma can affect movement and sensation. OR if the nerve is inflamed from viral infection or auto immune disease then there can also be pain. This is why often steroids and acyclovir are often given for Bell's palsy.
