I am a D1 athlete and I suddenly got a neck injury. I wasn't doing anything when it started hurting. I have this exteme pulling pain from the top of neck down to in between my shoulderblades right on the spine. I have extremely sharp pains in my shoulder blades and up through my shoulders, as well as my mid and lower back. My muscles are extremely tight and are pressing down on some nerves, which makes my hands go numb and causes my arms to be in pain. The muscles around my neck are also very tight, making it a little harder to swallow. My left foot has also been going numb. I'm not really sure what to do. My athletic trainer is pretty certain this is a ligament problem, however it has been 7 days and it is getting progressively worse
