General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome at HCM.
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns...
Has he ever be examined by ENT surgeon? Is there any history of allergy?
In my opinion he has most probably viral infection. All he need is rest. With nasal decongestant like rhinolene nasal spray. He should also take anti allergic like cetrizine 10 mg daily. Antibiotics are indicated only in bacterial infection with fever and productive cough. If there is fever penicillin group should be prescribed.
He should visit ENT surgeon once so that appropriate management can be initiated.....
May he get well soon
