Suggest Treatment For Mitral Valve Prolapse

hello! I am a lady, 30 yrs. old and weighing 177.1 lbs. i am experiencing shortness of breath for almost 3 days. I asked our school nurse to get my blood pressure earlier and it was 90/70. my pulse rate for a minute last night was 59.now it s 71. Should I need to have a medical check up? I was diagnosed to have mitral valve prolapse and mild asthma.

Cardiac Surgeon 's  Response
If your MVP is severe and your shortness of breath is related to mitral valve then you should get cardiologist opinion for sure. Its still safe to see a cardiologist to have a detailed evaluation.Mostly MVP do not require major interventions.
