My mother has Marulger Degeneration, she has one eye that was dry but it want to wet so they gave her 3 injections in the eye because it was wet.Than it charged back to dry. But they told her that her vision would go back to what it was but instead it got worse. Now, she is totally blind but actually she has her side vision. They have also told her that if there was ever a break through that she would be entitled to getting it. So, my sister gave us the name Avantis. What I would like to know do you know of anybody that has had this and does it improve the vision and also is it done in the USA?
Intravitreal Avastin is given in the treatment of Age related macular degeneration (ARMD). It is likely that the 3 injections which your mother has received are of intravitreal Avastin. Yes, it is given in the USA and most of the other countries too.
