What Causes Sudden And Severe Nose Bleeds?

What is the cause of sudden severe nose bleeds that are hard to stop. man aged 60, eye treatment for glaucoma and swelling at back of eyes. hypertension but controlled with medication Is this serious. Has had needles in eyes for pressure, has had other nose bleeds but not as bad as this one. Am concerned!

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The person may have hypertension, increased blood pressure. So, it is important to control blood pressure. Check blood sugar levels and take measures to control it.

Consult a physician to add medicine to control blood pressure and sugar. This is more likely as patient has glaucoma. Give him Nasivion nose drop 3 drops twice daily for 1 week. If bleeding is more then we have to do a nasal endoscopy.
