Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has had this happen one other time. He develops a lump area on the right testicle. He has had a vasectomy about 7 years ago. No fever. Not sure why, he has had this happen twice and he says it can be painful. should I take him to see the doctor for this? It usually goes away. It seems a bit smaller today.I am in imaging and am worried about testicular cancer. He is 42. Thank you!
Noted the history about your husband developing lump on scrotum or testicle, had vasectomy 7 years ago, worried about cancer. Well, cancer lumps do not regress on their own and are painless to start with. The best way to get a diagnosis is as follows: Consult a General Surgeon or an Urologist for clinical examination. Ultrasonography of the scrotum along with color doppler mode can help further. Once a proper diagnosis is made it will be easy for a guided treatment as per the cause found. Medical management if the cause is due to infection or so. Surgery of removal of the lump and histopathological examination will guide further.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
