hello i just had an abortion like a couple of hours ago. and the doctor was pretty fast but i felt everything .. he put some anesthesia in my arm but it didnt do any effect... there fore now i have a lump on my iner elbow where my vains are. i think maybe he missed my vain. and the anesthesia is there ... is it dangerouse or will it go aways soon.
Based on the history you have shared, lump can be formed to due to local inflammation or phlebitis and the amount of drug which had already had been transmitted would have yielded the results during anesthesia and will not have harmful implications anymore.
You can use local anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen creams etc and ice application but if the lump persists getting a surgical review may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
