Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain While Treating Arthritis
i have been having problems and pain in my lower back and in my neck...i am being treated at a pain clinic for arthritis...i was also told that i suffered some sort of compression fracture in my lumbar spine..i have had x-rays, but no m.r.i...was wondering if i needed an m.r.i..my pain management doctor never suggested my having one..
Absolutely any back pain of more than 2weeks duration needs to be investigated whether it is inflammatory or degenerative.
MRI being available should be an investigation of choice I would suggest do an MRI LS spine with SI screening that will help in making a proper diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashaq Parrey, General & Family Physician
