Suggest Treatment For Low Hb Levels

Hi i am Maryam Zain. I am facing the problem of low hb levels almost 8. And having asthma since many years almost ten. Now after marriage i am having problem in conceiving. And had an abortion after 5 weeks pregnancy. Doctor suggest ovafin. What you suggest. I am also overweight

Hi,

Hemoglobin of 8 is very low and you will need to have examinations to find the cause and properly treat it. Most of the time it is iron deficiency the cause for it and taking iron treatment might be helpful unless you have a born blood disorder that causes the anemia.
As for the treatment to get pregnant, ovafin is used to induce ovulation and may help to increase the chances of conception in women that have irregular periods.
You will need to correct the anemia before getting pregnant because severe anemia can affect the pregnancy.
