Suggest Treatment For Loose Motions In A Baby
Hello Doctor, My 4 months old daughter was not passing stool for 5 days. we consulted with our doctor and doctor said it is normal. From 6th day she started passing ,but now it is 5 times a day for past three days. Stool is more of liquid. we are literally worried about this . Could you please tell me should i need to worry about this or should i need to consult with the doctor immediatley. Thanks for the help.

But, there is nothing to worry. Both these situations are normal in young infants. The may pass 6-8 times a day to once in 6-8 day. Both can be taken as normal if baby is otherwise fine. Take her to doctor only if she develops fever, stool becomes blood stained, or she becomes lethargic and not feeding. Stay relaxed.
