Suggest Treatment For Loose Motion In Baby

Hi My baby is 6 months old and has loose motion past 5 days. His diet involves : Nan1 (formula) , Raagi ganjee , cerelac apple Medicines till date: AB cef 100 : 1/2 tab in morning , 1/2 tab in evening I tired giving him oman water too. He passes motion 8 times and motion is yellow in colour. Can you please suggest me

Hi,

But, if there is no fever, stools are not blood stained, he is playful and feeding well, this need not worried. I would recommend a course of zinc and probiotics. In such cases, role of antibiotics is limited. I used to give Z&D drops for 2 weeks and enterogermina vial for 5 days. Also, give frequent sips of fluids like ORS to avoid dehydration. Take him to his pediatrician if above said feature develop.
