Suggest Treatment For Loose Diarrhea With Mucus For My 23-month-old Daughter

My daughter has diarrhea for 3 days now and it s very loose and mucus with red streaks and sometimes red round mucus that looks like crushed tomatoes. She seems to be in pain every time she s pooping. I m currently feeding her pedialyte and Tylenol because she s been running a temperature. She s also eating but barely. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should do a stool culture to check for bacterial infection which is possibly causing an infection and antibiotics may be needed. Loperamide drops can be used for diarrhoea and enterogermina to reestablish the intestinal flora. Don't use loperamide without doctor prescription because if it is a bacterial infection should be treated with antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
