Suggest Treatment For Lightheadedness

Yes, I ve been experiencing light headed-ness for just over a week now. After thinking about it I remembered that my PCP changed my BP meds from Amlodipine Besylate 10 mg to Lisinoprol-HCL 20-12.5. So, on Tuesday June 24th I checked my BP and discovered it was EXTREMELY LOW (96/58) so I stopped taking it immediately with the next day ]Wednesday] readings being (91/54) & (103/71). Today I was feeling better and my reading this morning was (140/103) at which time I took my Lisinoprol, but in checking my pressure tonight my reading was (68/43 & 72/47 and 61/40) all taken over the course of roughly 10 minutes. In the end I just wanted to know if it was necessary to seek medical attention?

Hello!
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

I don't know why your doctor switched your BP medication, probably Amlodipine failed to control your blood pressure or you experienced Amlodipine side effects.

If your blood pressure was too high then a combination of two drugs to control it was the right choice.
Probably the dose of this combination wasn't the right dose for you causing the blood pressure to be too low.

If I were your treating doctor I would recommend to start with a lower dose of Lisinopril/Hydroclorothiazide ( 10/12.5 mg).

Since this treatment causes a very low blood pressure and disturbing symptoms to you ,I would suggest to consult again your treating doctor and discuss this with him.

Hope my answer has helped.
Take care.
