I can not sleep because of pain. last week I saw doctor and he told me that a surgery is needed. he said surgery will do after the wound heals. my doctor prescribe me to take tablets such as daflon 1000 mg and renerve plus. some days I have sleep disturbances, leg pain and diarrhea. is this the side effects of the medicine that I am eating? what can I do to reduce my pain. because I cannot tolerate this pain. please tell me a solution for these problems.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The sleep deprivation might be due to severe pain.
As of now you can take analgesics like Gabapentin for pain relief.
You can take newer drugs like Zolpidem (zolefresh is a common brand) to get adequate sleep. Your pain will be subsided once the surgery has been done.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
