Hi,

There are few.possibilities for the pain. It may be a sore muscles especially if have any physical trauma to it like weight lifting or bad postures.

Other possiblity is if the pain is from kidney problem like stone, or infections. Nerve trapment may also cause shooting pain in the flank.

So it needs proper assessment including and ultrasound scan of the tummy for kidney. Once the cause is identified, management would be according. You may use some painkiller like ibuprofen or paracetamol for the while being.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
