hello doctor I got my knee twisted while playing football little of swelling but not able to sit over the toilet pan unable to fold left leg ,now when I try to sit in car little twist bring it back to the same pain what to do ? please advise me . right knee already done surgery because of damage ligament in 1999.
You can take an antiinflammatory like naproxen for the time being if there is no contraindication . But an MRI of knee is advisable to see if there is any ligament injury as there is history of knee injury in past also.

Hello, Thanks for your query.
From description it seems soft tissue injury or ligament injury.If proper immobilisation is not given at the time of injury, healing of tissue or ligament might get hampered. You need to get an X-ray of the area done. MRI is the best investigation to diagnose the internal knee joint structures injury. Till then avoid weight bearing on the knee and keep the leg elevated on two pillows.
