Hello,

SInce you are very young & have history of juvenile RA, you are suggested to take anti-inflammatory rich diet.

You should take tart cherries, strawberries, raspberries, avocados, grapes, protein rich diet, food cooked in olive oil, Vitamin D (to control inflammation and aid absorption of Calcium) & exercises.

You should do finger & hand exercises under a Physiotherapist. Exercises will help joints to become more flexible and hence less painful. You should do crochet work or knitting. It is a good exercise for finger joints.

Avoid salty food, food rich in sugar, carbohydrates, MSG, gluten, aspartame, alcohol, fried food. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take fish oil (Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA). Presently, if you are feeling pain you can take the prescription medicines to ease discomfort but do not get dependent on medicines. Try to maintain a healthy diet to reduce pain naturally.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
