i am a 71 year old senior I got a high dose flu shot 7 days ago and got quite sick four hours later joint pain muscular aches general weekness starting just now to feel better i have taken the high dose flu shot for the past 2-3 years without a problem i am ashmatic what do i do next year

I think you might be having some respiratory problems prior to flu shot.
To me, should consult with your physician prior to taking another shot.
Plus, you need to report this side effect to him/her in order to take appropriate precautions while deciding if you should take another shot or not.
