Suggest Treatment For Itchy, Red And Pus Filled Spots On Leg
Hi, I ve noticed recently I have pus filled spots on my leg, I haven t tried putting anything on them just invade I irritate them. They are very itch and red but you can see the pus filled head easily. Some have scarred and I don t know what to do, please help.
Hello, Thanks for the query. These itchy pus filled lesion can be folliculitis. Folliculitis is a bacterial infections. Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests. Please meet a dermatologist and request to do culture and sensitivity test on pus obtained from the lesion for exact diagnosis. Once the exact bacteria is known, specific treatment can be given. Improper use of antibiotic can lead to resistance.
