Suggest Treatment For Itching On The Scrotum

Hello doctor. I have been getting an itch on my scrotum. I am sexually active however i have used condoms all the time. i am getting a little bit of very light white skin on the scrotum and i ve been scratching that section of the testacles. ( the line of the testacles ) i shaved not too long ago and straight after that shave, it began to itch more than usual and i have had a partner during that time where once again, i had safe sex. i have no symptoms or visible sores or dots on my genital region and no problems passing urine without pain.

Hello,

You have a white itchy area on the scrotum that is making you uncomfortable. You are suggested to take care of your hygiene, keep your private area clean and take bath regularly. Such symptom may be indicative of jock itch, eczema, psoriasis, genital herpes and other STDs, etc. You can apply ointment miconazole (for jock itch) on the affected area for relieve and should take a course of antifungal.

If it is jock itch, it will slowly go away in 2-3 weeks. Do not scratch or touch. Avoid any type of sexual activity while you are being treated. If it persists you should get it clinically examined by a urologist, get STD tests done. If the test comes positive you will be treated with antibiotics and anti viral. If psoriasis or eczema is detected it will be treated accordingly. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
