Suggest Treatment For Itchiness And Red Rashes On The Back
I have a client that has a very itchy, red raised rash all over his back Which has lasted for 3 weeks. It gets better and then worse. Recently his son noticed a very itchy red area on the inside of son s palm and wrist. I am an agency nurse just getting involved in supervising Dad s care. Dad is 80, refusing bodily cases more often than not. My cna s are worried about scabies. I am scheduled to see him tomorrow. Have not seen him for a week. Your thoughts please...

It is mostly due to some fungal infection for which he can take some antibiotic like cefadroxyl or zifi-cv after an expert opinion along with cetrizine or Avil for redness and itching. Apply betnovate-c or clobit-gm cream locally over the affected area. You can take steroids if not improved with above.
