Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi..i have irregular period & it last about 2months,last march midwif advise me to take pill so that my period goes regular so that i can get pregnant, but now i miss period more than 2 months now, i didnt feel any sign of pregnancy,i can feel is like my period is coming..is there a problem in me?
* As per my clinical experience, irregular menses with abdomen cramps is mostly in concern with either polycystic ovarian syndrome, hormone imbalance issue at hypothalamopitutary axis or else.
* Any hormone pill as norethisterone or OC pills can induce withdrawal bleeding for a particular menses cycle, but that will not regulate the monthly basis on long term period.
* I would suggest to consult your OBGY for ultrasound examination of the abdomen & pelvis, get expert opinion regarding the basic cause and further management in accordance to that only.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
