Suggest Treatment For Irregular Menstruation And Fatigue

I am a 53 yr old female who has not entered menopause. A few irregular periods but nothing too out of the ordinary. I have been experiencing severe fatigue premenstrual cycle. My brain is foggy and my body feels like it wants to collapse; just a sense of overall not feeling well. There are days just before my period where I feel like I cannot function.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possible causes like fibroid uterus or endometrial hyperplasia must be ruled out.

You have to check your hemoglobin because it may be the reason for dizziness and fatigue. Ultrasound abdomen is required to make a diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
