Suggest Treatment For Intense Pain In The Lower Abdomen

hello ... a couple nights ago I experienced some very intense pain in my lower right abdomen; i had to urinate and the pain was so intense I couldn t move off the bed for several minutes. I did notice my urine is a little cloudy, but no other pain or symptoms until tonight; i was playing tennis and the back of my head had severe pain around from one ear to another; I started slurring my words a bit and felt lethargic. No dizziness; had to take deep breathes; think it was low blood sugar?? I drove home and ate some sherbert; felt okay but now the head pain coming back and there is dull pain in the right side of my tummy again, but not sharp and shooting like the other night; feel exhausted. No fever; no diarrhea, etc. Had a lot of gas yesterday. I think that s it -- I just don t feel right ... thank you. Robin

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These may be different entities altogether however needs work up for brain signs at priority than abdominal one. Neurological examination and abdominal examination needs to be done. Metabolic profile also should be evaluated.

Brain radiograph may be needed as well as ultrasound abdomen and EKG and Echo should be done to rule out cardiac causes of dizziness and abdominal dissection needs to be evaluated. Meanwhile, antacids like Omperazole before meals and motility agents like Domperidone can be helpful with gas and stomach issues.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
